Freeman Marketing captures gold and silver at 29th Annual Healthcare Advertising Awards

The Marketing Department at Freeman Health System earned recognition at the 29th Annual Healthcare Advertising Awards, sponsored by Healthcare Marketing Report. Nearly 4,000 entries were received this year, making the competition the largest of its kind.

JOPLIN, Mo.—The Marketing Department at Freeman Health System earned recognition at the 29th Annual Healthcare Advertising Awards, sponsored by Healthcare Marketing Report. Nearly 4,000 entries were received this year, making the competition the largest of its kind.

Freeman Marketing earned the following awards:

  • Gold for “Beacon of Hope: After the Joplin Tornado” in the special video category
  • Silver for “Taking Care of Joplin with Our Hearts and Hands” in the poster category
  • Merit for Freeman Foundation’s “Partners in Healing” in the brochure category
  • Merit for an orthopaedic physician advertisement in the newspaper ad category

Freeman Marketing competed against several national entities such as Johns Hopkins University, UnitedHealthcare, and Baylor Health Care System. A national panel of judges reviewed all entries based on creativity, quality, message effectiveness, consumer appeal, graphic design, and overall impact. Gold awards were bestowed to 253 entries, while silver awards were given to 245 entries. Additionally, bronze awards were earned by 231 entries.

The Healthcare Advertising Awards is the oldest and largest healthcare advertising awards competition. The competition is sponsored by Healthcare Marketing Report, a national publication that covers all aspects of healthcare marketing, advertising, and strategic business development.
