Day Trips

Pioneer Woman Ree Drummond – Pawhuska, Oklahoma Thursday, March 23 (space still available) Thursday, March 30 (full). Visit Ree Drummond’s restaurant and store, the “Merc.” Explore historic Pawhuska with more than 80 buildings on the National Register of Historic Places. Cost: $65 includes transportation, meal, gratuities, sites and attractions. Final reservation/cancellation/refund date: March 2.

Dogwood Canyon – Lampe, Missouri Thursday, May 25. Experience the untouched beauty of Dogwood Canyon on a two-hour wildlife tram tour and enjoy a grilled picnic lunch on the grounds. Take a tour of the Conservation and Education Center and see a treehouse featured on Animal Planet’s Treehouse Masters. On the way home, stop at Dewey Short Visitor’s Center at Table Rock Dam. Cost: $91 includes motor coach transportation, lunch, tram ride, gratuities, and all sites and attractions. Final reservation/cancellation/refund date: May 4.

Springfield Cardinals Game Friday, June 23. The Springfield Cardinals take on the Arkansas Travelers. Cost: $65 includes seating in the Red Bird Roost, all-you-can-eat food and drink, transportation and gratuity. Final reservation/cancellation/refund date: June 2.

Kansas Belle Dinner Train – Baldwin City, Kansas Thursday, June 29. Climb aboard the Kansas Belle Dinner Train! Enjoy a three-course meal, big band music and beautiful scenery on this 22-mile journey down the tracks. Tour Baker University and learn the unique story behind the historic Clarice L. Osborne Memorial Chapel. Space is filling up fast! Cost: $114 includes transportation, train ride, three-course meal, gratuities and all attractions. Final reservation/cancellation/refund date: June 1.

An Affair of the Heart - Tulsa, Oklahoma Friday, July 14. Shop jewelry, antiques and home décor from more than 500 vendors in one location! Let the bus drop you off and pick you up at the door. With plenty of storage under the tour bus, you can shop without worrying how you will get your treasures home. Cost: $38 includes transportation, gratuity and entry fee. Final reservation/refund/cancellation date: June 28.

Are You Ready for Some Football? Freeman Advantage would like to offer a day trip to a 2017 Kansas City Chiefs game. Trip to include transportation, gratuity, tailgate and tickets. Contact Freeman Advantage if interested. Estimated cost: $175. Coming fall 2017.

Discover Oklahoma City and Beyond April 26 – 28, 2017. This three-day, two-night trip includes gondola boat ride, tour of the Oklahoma State Capitol and National Cowboy Hall of Fame in Oklahoma City. Visit a working family farm and the National Weather Center in Norman, Oklahoma. Enjoy casino gaming, horse racing and a cooking demonstration at Remington Park. Final payment date: March 15. Cost: Double $529, single: $599, triple: $499.

Washington, D.C. April 6  – 11, 2017. Join Freeman Advantage on an adventure to our nation’s capital during cherry blossom season. Trip highlights include U.S. Capitol tour, World War II Memorial, White House Visitor Center, Mount Vernon, Arlington National Cemetery, Smithsonian Institution, Washington National Cathedral, Ford’s Theatre and much more! Ark Encounter and Ohio August 4 – 11. Visit Clabber Girl Bake Shop and Museum and Indianapolis Museum of Art in Indiana. Visit our nation’s largest Amish community and tour the American Whistle Corporation and Krema Nut Company in Ohio. Explore the Creation Museum and Ark Encounter in Kentucky. Submit reservation form along with $50 deposit to reserve your space. Insurance available. Make checks out to Village Tours. Final payment date: June 22.

Shop ‘Til You Drop – Canton and Waco, Texas September 27 – 30. If you love shopping, this is the trip for you! Visit Magnolia Market in Waco, Texas, Miranda Lambert’s Pink Pistol in Lindale, Texas, First Monday Trade Days in Canton, Texas, and Pioneer Woman Ree Drummand’s “Merc” in Pawhuska, Oklahoma. Double cost: $629 includes transportation, accommodations, six meals, gratuities and tour manager. Submit reservation form and $50 deposit to reserve your space. Insurance available. Make checks out to Village Tours. Final payment date: August 15.

A Rockin' Christmas in Nashville and Memphis December 3 – 7, 2017. Start the Christmas season in the music capital of the world! Please keep the following in mind when traveling with Freeman Advantage:

  • Receipt of payment secures your space. Please submit your payment as soon as possible once you've signed up. Payments can be made with cash, check or credit card. We cannot give refunds after the final payment or cancellation date.
  • If the payment/cancellation date has passed and you are interested in attending, please call the office. A waiting list is kept for those who want to attend should there be cancelations.
  • Trip itineraries are subject to change. Substitutions will be of equal or greater value.
  • Advantage trips are open to nonmembers for an additional fee of $20. This fee pays for a membership for those 50 years and over and does not apply to extended trips.

Did you know?

If you are interested in taking a group trip that Freeman Advantage is not currently offering, we can still assist you with your travel plans. Freeman Advantage is able to book any trip through Collette Vacations. You will receive the Freeman Advantage discount, and a car will pick you up at your home and deliver you home from the airport.
