Freeman Welcomes Home New Orthopaedic Surgeon

Local physician specializes in hip and knee replacements.

Freeman Health System announces the addition of Dr. Daniel Jones to Freeman Orthopaedics & Sports Medicine. Dr. Jones is a native of Sarcoxie, Mo., and completed his undergraduate studies while playing basketball at Missouri Southern State University.

Dr. Jones earned his medical degree and completed his residency in orthopaedic surgery at Saint Louis University School of Medicine in St. Louis, Mo. He then completed a fellowship in adult reconstructive surgery at Mayo Clinic School of Graduate Medical Education in Jacksonville, Fla. 

“I had the opportunity to shadow Dr. David Black while attending Missouri Southern, and it solidified my decision to become an orthopaedic surgeon,” said Dr. Jones. “I’m happy to return to the area with my family to help take care of the needs of the community.”
