Freeman Rolls Out Two New Ambulances

September 19, 2017

New design promotes safer environment for patients and paramedics.

Freeman Ambulance Service unveiled two new ambulances to better serve patients in McDonald County. Manufactured by Braun Custom Ambulances, the new units are four-wheel-drive and are equipped with LiquidSpring™ suspensions, which provide smoother rides on rough, rural roads.

The new ambulances are also designed to be safer for attendants. Custom seating and cabinets enable paramedics to treat patients and reach supplies without unbuckling their seat belts.

The ambulances being replaced have more than 200,000 miles each and will be maintained as reserve vehicles. Freeman Ambulance Service serves the entire 540-quare-mile McDonald County area, averaging more than 60,000 miles per year per ambulance.
