Freeman Welcomes Board-certified Radiation Oncologist

Freeman Health System announces the addition of Dr. Chance Matthiesen.

Freeman Health System announces the addition of Dr. Chance Matthiesen. Dr. Matthiesen specializes in radiation oncology at Freeman Cornell-Beshore Cancer Institute.

“Caregivers need to see patients as more than just individuals in a hospital bed – they’re people with families and stories,” said Dr. Matthiesen. “I believe that despite any dismal-looking situation, good can come out of it with a good physician, compassionate care, truth and kindness.”

After earning his medical degree from University of Oklahoma College of Medicine in Oklahoma City, Okla., Dr. Matthiesen completed his residency in radiation oncology at the University of Oklahoma Health Sciences Center in Oklahoma City, Okla.

Dr. Matthiesen is board-certified in radiation oncology with the American Board of Radiology.
