Freeman Opens Eligibility Partners Office in Neosho

November 23, 2021

Staff Available to Assist with Medicaid and Marketplace Registration

JOPLIN, Mo. – Freeman Health System is expanding its Eligibility Partners services in southwest Missouri with a new office inside Freeman Neosho Hospital. Staff will be available to assist people in applying for newly expanded Medicaid coverage or Marketplace medical coverage offered under the Affordable Care Act.

“With the onset of Medicaid expansion in Missouri, we recognized that many residents in the southwest Missouri area will become eligible for coverage,” said Karri Foster, Freeman Admissions Supervisor. “The new office will help us meet the demand and get the word out to people who previously did not qualify for coverage. The Freeman Neosho office will also make it easier for those who don’t have transportation to reach us.”

Eligibility Partners is a community-based program, and clients do not have to be patients of Freeman to get assistance with Medicaid or Marketplace registration. Eligibility Partners staff also works with Refugee and Immigrant Services and Education (RAISE) to connect with those who have language barriers and to help them apply for medical coverage.

Eligibility Partners is located in Freeman Hospital West and now also in the Freeman Neosho Hospital Medical Records Office at 113 West Hickory St. The new office is open from 8:00 am to 4:00 pm, Monday – Friday. Appointments are not required but will allow for more dedicated time with staff. Appointments can be made by calling 417.347.3933 or by emailing freemaneligibilitypartners@freemanhealth.com. Walk-ins are also welcome.
