Freeman Auxiliary Unveils New Visitor Shuttle

Shuttle transports visitors in comfort.

Freeman Auxiliary unveil a new visitor shuttle at Freeman Hospital West. Named “Freddie Flyer,” the electric shuttle can seat up to nine passengers and is enclosed to protect visitors from the elements. The shuttle also features heating, air conditioning and spacious seating. “Freddie Flyer” runs weekdays 7:00 am – 3:00 pm for visitor convenience. The shuttle transports more than 18,000 visitors each year.

Freeman Auxiliary members and volunteers staff Freeman Gift Gallery at Freeman Hospital West, Freeman Hospital East and Freeman Neosho Hospital. Funds generated at the three Freeman Gift Gallery locations, along with fundraisers throughout the year, help support programs and projects at Freeman Health System and in the community.

During 2016-2017, Freeman Auxiliary donated more than $200,000 to various programs, including Children’s Miracle Network Hospitals®, Bill & Virginia Leffen Center for Autism, Ronald McDonald House Charities of the Four States, Freeman Cornell-Beshore Cancer Institute, Turnaround Ranch and the Chaplains Fund. Freeman Auxiliary also purchased wheelchairs and other needed hospital equipment.
