Freeman and the Joplin Family Y Invite Families to Get Moving for Health and Fun

Freeman Health System and the Joplin Family Y present the Freeman Family 5K and 1-mile Fun Run and the Joplin Family Y Healthy Kids Day beginning at 8:00 am Saturday, April 11, at Joplin Family Y South, 3404 McIntosh Circle Drive.

JOPLIN, Mo. – Freeman Health System and the Joplin Family Y present the Freeman Family 5K and 1-mile Fun Run and the Joplin Family Y Healthy Kids Day beginning at 8:00 am Saturday, April 11, at Joplin Family Y South, 3404 McIntosh Circle Drive. Healthy Kids Day is the largest health expo for kids and families in the Four States. The event will be feature games, activities, health screenings and more. Families can stay and play at the Y all day at a free open house.

A portion of the proceeds from the 5K will benefit Ozark Center Turnaround Ranch, a 72-bed residential treatment facility for adolescents ages 10 - 18. It provides 24-hour care for youths experiencing emotional and behavioral problems. 

Registration for the 5K and Fun Run is still available between 3:30 and 5:30 pm Friday, April 10 inside the Joplin Family YMCA South and between 7:00 and 7:40 am race day Saturday, April 11.
