Ozark Center began as a rural mental health clinic in 1965 and has grown into an organization that employs 350 people and serves 13,500 patients every year. An integral component of Freeman Health System based in Joplin, Missouri, Ozark Center provides comprehensive behavioral health services to children, adults, and families in an area that includes more than 450,000 residents from Missouri, Arkansas, Oklahoma, and Kansas. Ozark Center continually looks for innovative ways to address the mental health needs of the community and promote awareness of mental illness in an effort to eliminate the discrimination associated with it.
Ozark Center is the area's largest and most comprehensive behavioral health care provider. The staff of trained professionals offers programs and services to assist patients and their families in overcoming behavioral health difficulties, creating a specialized treatment plan for each individual and his/her family.
Providing services to the Four States, Ozark Center currently provides confidential services including:
- Individual, group, family, and marriage counseling
- Psychiatric services and medication management
- Residential care for adults and adolescents
- Acute inpatient care
- 24-hour crisis hotline
- In-home support
- Wide range of substance abuse services
If you or a loved one has problems that interfere with doing your best at home, school, or work, please call us now. At our conveniently located offices we accept medical insurance, Medicare, and Medicaid. A sliding fee scale based on your income is also available for qualified individuals.
