Arthroscopic Surgery

Freeman orthopaedic physicians use the most advanced techniques, including digital diagnostic imaging and minimally invasive surgeries to provide cutting-edge treatments, procedures and services. Additionally, Freeman offers the most experienced clinicians and comprehensive outpatient rehabilitation therapy and inpatient physical rehabilitation services.

Arthroscopy is a frequently used procedure by orthopedic surgeons to examine, diagnose and treat disorders inside a joint. The Freeman orthopaedic team performs many arthroscopic surgeries to restore joints and alleviate pain. Arthroscopic surgery differs from open surgery in that it requires only very small incisions and is usually done on an outpatient basis. As a result, patient recovery is faster and there is typically less pain than there would be with larger incisions in an open surgery.

Arthroscopic surgery is an option for a number of medical conditions, including:

  • Achilles Tendonitis
