Ozark Center Military Liaison Offers Veteran Care Options
JOPLIN, Mo. – Southwest Missouri is well-represented when it comes to men and women who have served in our nation’s armed forces. Many of them are part of an aging population that can have both physical and behavioral health needs. At this month’s Freeman Caregiver Support Group meeting on March 17, Roger Koch of the Ozark Center Veteran’s Integration Program (VIP) will offer a presentation about various programs available to support veterans.
Cory Mounts of Avalon Hospice in Joplin will also make a presentation about Avalon’s services available to the community.
Facilitated by Freeman Geriatric Center social worker Jennifer Berry, MSW, LCSW, the support group meets from 10:30 am to 12:00 pm at the Freeman Business Center conference rooms. Guests should enter from the rear parking lot. Physical distancing and mask wearing will be practiced. Refreshments and door prizes are provided.
