Joplin Medical School
In March 2015, Kansas City University of Medicine and Biosciences announced it will be opening a medical school campus in Joplin. Over the past 40 years, Freeman Health System has played a key role in the education and training of physicians in Missouri, and we’re excited to be the flagship health system in the opening of the new medical school in Joplin.
Freeman has a rich history of working with respected medical schools to train tomorrow’s physicians. For decades, Freeman has served as a training ground for third- and fourth-year medical students completing their clinical rotations and medical school graduates completing their residencies. With the opening of the new medical school campus in Joplin, Freeman’s tradition of providing medical education facilities, classrooms, programs, preceptors and faculty continues for the benefit of the community.
