As Freeman OccuMed
Director since 1994, Dr. Dennis Estep
has coordinated the growth of a two-doctor, single clinic into a regional group of occupational treatment centers. As a fully integrated occupational health facility, Freeman OccuMed helps control the high cost of workers' compensation and medical services by reducing the incidence and severity of injuries and time lost from work. It provides high quality medical care in a timely fashion and stresses communication with employers to keep them informed of their injured workers' status. This comprehensive approach facilitates the fastest recovery from work-related injuries and illnesses.
Joining Freeman in 1992, Estep developed the Freeman occupational medicine physical therapy component and implemented a standard protocol for work injuries. He also maintains an active practice including injury treatment, medical review officer services, and second opinion consultations.
Estep received his medical degree from Oklahoma State University College of Osteopathic Medicine in Tulsa before completing his residency at the University of Oklahoma, Oklahoma Medical Center. He is a Fellow of the American College of Occupational and Environmental Medicine and member of the Oklahoma State University Alumni Association.
