Pain management is important for ongoing pain control, especially for long-term or chronic pain. Treatment may include a pain assessment, pain medication, and other pain treatments such as physical therapy, nerve blocks, and electrical stimulation to help with pain relief. Sometimes psychological support is also recommended to assist with coping skills to manage chronic pain and stress.
