Freeman named among HomeCare Elite™
JOPLIN, Mo.—For the fourth year since 2006, Freeman Health System Home Care has been named among the HomeCare Elite, a compilation of the top-performing home health agencies in the country. HomeCare Elite identifies the top 25 percent of home care agencies, ranking them based upon an analysis of performance in quality outcomes, process of care measures, and financial performance.
“The 2011 HomeCare Elite winners demonstrate a commitment to providing patients with the best possible care while managing their business efficiently and effectively,” said Amanda Twiss, Chief Executive Officer of Outcome Concept Systems (OCS) HomeCare and My InnerView, a company that offers data analytics, quality and outcomes reporting, and comparative databases for home care agencies. “This year, we updated our methodology to reflect industry focus, and, based on this rigorous analysis, we congratulate Freeman on being one of the top home care agencies in the nation.”
Jill Soper, RN, Freeman Home Care Clinical Supervisor, said the expertise of staff enables Freeman to continue providing the highest quality of care in the home care setting.
“It is an honor to achieve this designation,” said Soper. “Thanks to the efficiency of our entire home care staff, we continue to excel in clinical and financial outcomes.”
Freeman Home Care offers skilled nursing, physical and occupational therapy, and home-health assistance for area residents. The department also employs a social worker to connect patients with available community resources and long-range planning options.
The 2011 HomeCare Elite is the only performance recognition of its kind in the home health industry. The 2011 HomeCare Elite is brought to the industry by OCS HomeCare, the leading provider of home care information, and DecisionHealth, publisher of the newsletter “Home Health Line” and the “Complete Home Health ICD-9-CM Diagnosis Coding Manual.” The data used for this analysis were compiled from publicly available information.
