Joe Kirk
Executive Vice President
After joining Freeman in 1975 as CFO, Joe Kirk was named Senior Vice President in 1991, appointed COO in 2002, and Executive Vice President in 2003. Under his guidance, Freeman has developed one of the most successful Managed Care programs in the region, and his work with staff and physicians has strengthened the Freeman Practice Management program.
He graduated from Oklahoma State University with a Bachelor of Science in accounting. He is a certified public accountant (CPA), a member of the American Institute of CPAs, and the Missouri Society of CPAs.
His community commitment includes involvement on the boards of directors of the Joplin Area Chamber of Commerce, ProMusica, Joplin Family Y, and Joplin Community Clinic, and membership in the Vestry at Grace Episcopal Church, Carthage.
