Joe Kirk
Chief Operations Officer
After joining Freeman in 1975 as Controller, Joe Kirk was named Senior Vice President in 1991, Chief Operating Officer in 2002, Executive Vice President in 2003, and Chief Operations Officer in 2012. Under his guidance, Freeman has developed one of the most successful managed care programs in the region. His work with staff and physicians has played a key role in strengthening the Freeman Practice Management program.
In terms of community leadership, Kirk serves on the boards of Joplin Chamber of Commerce, ProMusica, Joplin Family Y, and Joplin Community Clinic. Additionally, he belongs to the Vestry at Grace Episcopal Church, Carthage, Missouri.
Kirk is a member of the American Institute of CPAs and Missouri Society of CPAs.
He graduated from Oklahoma State University with a bachelor’s in accounting.
