Gary Duncan, FACHE
President and Chief Executive Officer
Gary Duncan joined Freeman in 1975 as its first Human Resources Director. During his tenure, Freeman has launched a variety of health specialty programs that offer patients comprehensive care in convenient settings close to home.
A Fellow of the American College of Healthcare Executives, Mr. Duncan serves on the boards of VHA Inc., VHA Mid-America, the Missouri Hospital Association, the Hospital Services Group in Jefferson City, Missouri, and the Midwest Transplant Network. He also served as a member of the Governor's Missouri Healthcare Information Technology Task Force in 2006 and Region 6 Policy Board of the American Hospital Association 2005-2007.
In his community, Mr. Duncan serves on the boards of Ronald McDonald House Charities of the Four States and Arvest Bank. He has also served on the boards of the Joplin Business and Industrial Development Corporation, United Way of Southwest Missouri, and Joplin Area Chamber of Commerce.
Mr. Duncan holds a Master of Divinity in counseling from Eden Theological Seminary, Webster Groves, Missouri, and a Bachelor of Arts from Heidelberg College, Tiffin, Ohio.
