Construction in Progress

Freeman Health System construction and expansion

Building for the future

We’re growing for you! Since the May 22, 2011, tornado, we're responding to our community's needs by enhancing our current services and opening new facilities. Throughout the health system, we're adding patient beds, expanding our medical and behavioral health services, adding new technology, and providing community outreach programs.

Please pardon any inconvenience caused by construction—we’ll do our best to keep the noise level to a minimum. Most construction work occurs 8 am-6 pm. Please let us know if there’s anything we can do to make your stay with us more comfortable.

Construction at Freeman West

Freeman East

We recently opened 20 new adult psychiatric beds at Freeman East to meet an increased need for psychiatric care.

Freeman Neosho

Gary Duncan Women’s Pavilion opened in November 2011, bringing the latest in digital mammography and ultrasound technologies to Freeman Neosho patients. Additionally, Freeman Neosho expanded emergency services by adding more rooms in the Emergency Room.

Freeman West

During 2012, we’ll open 59 new patient rooms with advanced medical capabilities on the 5th and 6th floors of Gary & Donna Hall Tower. The 5th floor opened in March 2012. We’re also upgrading dining services at Freeman West, including a complete redesign of the kitchen and cafeteria.

Laboratory

A recent $1.3 million investment in new lab equipment produces many benefits, including reduced wait times for patients wanting test results.

Freeman Rehabilitation & Sports Center

In March 2012, Freeman Rehabilitation & Sports Center opened on East 32nd Street in Joplin, providing comprehensive therapy services including physical, occupational, speech, hand, aquatic, and lymphedema therapies, as well as sports performance evaluations.

Will's Place

Will’s Place provides comprehensive behavioral health services to children ages 2-18.
