JOPLIN, Mo.—Freeman Health System is pleased to announce the promotion of Mary Lonon to Freeman OccuMed Director. In this role, Lonon will work to ensure Freeman OccuMed continues to be the premier provider of occupational services to area employers.
Freeman OccuMed currently operates clinics in Joplin, Neosho, and Carthage, providing area employers with a full array of services, including drug and alcohol testing, various levels of physical exams, treatment of work-related injuries, and testing to determine work injury risk through a partnership with the nationally known WorkSTEPS® program. In addition, Freeman has the ability to provide continuity of care for patients with work-related injuries, thanks to a network of experienced and nationally recognized surgeons and physical therapists.
Lonon, a Freeman employee for 11 years, was previously a reimbursement coordinator with Freeman Accounting, specializing in government reporting and auditing. She earned a bachelor’s degree in accounting from University of Phoenix.
“Mary has a solid track record as a valuable leader within Freeman,” said Debi Koelkebeck, Freeman Vice President of Retail Service Operations. “She leads by example, relying on innovation and efficiency to guide her decision-making. Freeman is proud to call her one of our own.”
