When is it appropriate to call the 24-hour crisis hotline?
- A friend or family member talks about suicide.
- Your child talks frequently about guns, knives, or violence.
- You are in a situation where an individual threatens others with violence.
- A friend or family member overdoses on sleeping pills or needs emergency care. DO NOT DELAY. Call an ambulance or go to the nearest emergency room. If an immediate threat exists, contact the police for assistance.
